A legacy created out of love for wood
We are Tomaž and Venesa Brglez, proud parents of two beautiful girls – Sofija and Zala. It started simply – with a desire to create their first personal, warm, and safe wooden pieces that would carry a feeling of homeliness and a carefree childhood.
A love for wood that lasts a lifetime
Tomaž's passion for wood has been alive since his childhood.
He was happiest when he held a hammer, nails and a piece of wood in his hands, from which something of his own was made.
Today, this childish spark lives on in every table, house and piece of furniture that is created in our workshop.
Each product has its own story, its own purpose and its own soul.
What does SOVZA mean
SOVZA is not just a name.
SOVZA is woven from our names:

— our family, heart, and inspiration.
How we create
We create in our home workshop, where each product is:

- From Slovenian wood
- Painted with non-toxic colors
- Unique, safe and warm – created for your home
We do not follow mass production.
We prefer to create pieces that last, have meaning and become a part of your everyday life.

Our offer includes carefully crafted wooden products, made to measure and in small batches:
- playhouses and outdoor play equipment
- solid wood dining and coffee tables
- epoxy wooden kitchen boards, trays and lamps (with the option of personalized engraving)
- indoor dog houses, created out of love for animals
Who is behind the products
Tomaž takes care of the physical production, planning and drawing. For every cut, every joint and every detail that gives the product strength, beauty and character.
And Venesa takes care of ideas, communication and presentation, so that our products can find their way to the right homes and people who appreciate handmade work.
